Allison Carhart

A former competitive gymnast, Allison discovered aerial arts while performing in theater in NYC in 2006 and has been in the air ever since. She holds a BA in Theater and Dance from Trinity College and an MA in Applied Physiology from Columbia University, as well as many certs in the application of sport and expressive movement. In addition to performing, it is Allison’s joy to coach competitive gymnastics and aerial arts to all ages. With a background in healthcare, Allison brings a technical eye for optimal biomechanics to promote longevity within circus arts. In turn, the Aerialympics rubric has informed her approach to coaching both circus and gymnastics. She views judging as a shared exploration of the intersection between technique and artistry, and looks forward to these continued conversations with future performers.
