Awards and Championships

These apply at every regional, Local Invitational, and the National Championships, whether you compete LIVE or In the Wild. You must perform to receive any medal or pin.

• Pins. Every performer receives an Aerialympics pin designed for the event they entered, with a different design for each regional and for Nationals. One pin per performer per event.
• Medals. First, second, and third place in every division receive custom Aerialympics medals. Nationals medals are a separate Championships design.
• All Star medals. All Star first, second, and third place receive larger custom medals that include the words "All Star."
• Duets and parallels. Each performer in a placing duet or parallel receives their own medal.
• Ensembles. Every member of a placing ensemble receives a medal.
• Judge feedback. Every performer receives feedback from a panel of three judges.
• Videos and extras. Every event offers free viewing of all available performance videos from that event, and the option to buy your competition video for download. Some events also offer collectible badges and lanyards, merchandise, and photos.

Level Champions

Awarded to the solo performance scoring the highest number of points in any division at Nationals LIVE at that level, regardless of age or apparatus. Flight divisions are included.

All Star Champions

Awarded to the All Star solo performance scoring the highest number of points in any division at Nationals LIVE on that apparatus, regardless of age. Flight divisions are included.

All Star Elite Champion

All Star Elite is offered at Nationals LIVE only. The All Star Elite Championship trophy is awarded to the All Star Elite solo performance scoring the highest number of points at Nationals LIVE, regardless of age or apparatus.

High Point Champions

Awarded to the individual and the team scoring the highest number of points in total at Nationals LIVE. Individual totals count solo, duet, and parallel points. Team totals count solo, duet, parallel, and ensemble points for every performance.

All-Around Champions

Awarded to the individual and the team scoring the highest number of points at Nationals LIVE on three different apparatus as a solo, duet, or parallel performer. Different apparatus in the Specialty category count separately; for example, straps, tippy lyra, and cube count as three different apparatus. Only the top three scores count, so a performer or team competing on four or more apparatus is scored on their best three. Ensemble points do not count toward this award.

Nationals is LIVE only, so In the Wild has a championship of its own. Every regional and Local Invitational this season is a round, and every In the Wild entry is another shot at a title.

Solo Champions

Awarded to the solo performance scoring the highest number of points In the Wild at that level across the entire season, regardless of age or apparatus. The score used is the final score after any deductions. Flight divisions are included. If two performers tie, the title goes to the performer with the higher second-best solo score at that level.

All-Around Champions

Awarded to the performer with the highest combined result In the Wild on three different apparatus at that level across the entire season, as a solo, duet, or parallel performer. Different apparatus in the Specialty category count separately; for example, straps, tippy lyra, and cube count as three different apparatus. A performer's best score on each apparatus is used, so a solo lyra and a duet lyra count as one apparatus. Ensemble points do not count toward this award.

Because levels are scored out of different totals, every score is converted to a percentage of the most points possible at its level, and the three percentages are added together. Only the top three count, so a performer competing on four or more apparatus is scored on their best three. A performer whose three apparatus are at different levels competes for the All-Around at the highest of those levels. If two performers tie, the title goes to the performer with the higher single percentage among the three counted.

Her highest level is Intermediate 2, so she competes for the Intermediate 2 All-Around with 232.5.

Team Champions

Team Champion: Commitment is awarded to the team with the most judged In the Wild entries across the entire season. Every judged In the Wild entry by a performer registered through the Team Program counts, at every level and on every apparatus, and an ensemble counts as one entry. If two teams tie, the title goes to the team with more different performers entered.

Team Champion: Excellence is awarded to the team with the highest percentage of Superior-rated In the Wild entries across the entire season. A team needs at least 5 judged entries to be eligible. Every judged In the Wild entry by a performer registered through the Team Program counts, including ensembles, and Superior is judged against each entry's own level. If two teams tie, the title goes to the team with more Superior-rated entries.

Medals and pins

In the Wild

In the Wild medals and pins are mailed after each event. Awards for performers on a Team Program ship to the team's medal address; awards for individual entrants ship to the address on file.

LIVE

If you compete LIVE but do not stay for awards, your medal can be collected by someone who is staying, or mailed if you request it by email after the event.

Addresses

Performers and teams are responsible for making sure Aerialympics has the correct mailing address. If an item has to be mailed again because the address was wrong, the recipient pays the shipping.

In the Wild Season Championship trophies

Where it ships

Trophies for performers on a Team Program, and both Team Champion trophies, ship to the team's medal address. Trophies for individual entrants ship to the address the performer, or a parent for a performer under 18, confirms to Aerialympics.

Confirming the address

The address must be confirmed by email within 30 days of the announcement. A trophy with no confirmed address after 30 days is not shipped. The title stands and is published either way.

Shipping costs

Aerialympics ships every trophy with tracking, by USPS or UPS, and covers shipping costs up to $30. Where shipping to the confirmed address costs more, the recipient either pays the difference before the trophy ships or nominates a US address to receive it.

Outside the United States

Import duties, taxes, and customs fees charged by the destination country are the recipient's to pay. A trophy refused or returned because these charges were not paid is not reshipped. Where neither USPS nor UPS offers tracked delivery to the destination, or shipping there is restricted, the recipient nominates a US address to receive the trophy or collects it in person at the National Championships.

Delivery

A trophy is considered delivered when the carrier's tracking shows it delivered to the confirmed address.

Lost in transit

If tracking shows a trophy was lost in transit or never delivered, Aerialympics replaces it once. The recipient pays the cost of the replacement and its shipping before it is sent. A loss must be reported by email within 30 days of the ship date. A trophy that tracking shows as delivered to the confirmed address is not replaced.
