Jonas Oliveira
Jonas Oliveira is a 31-year-old Brazilian circus artist, aerial athlete, aerial acrobatics coach and aerial competition judge. He holds many titles, including Aerial Hoop World Champion and a three-time Aerial Brazilian Champion.
His artistic journey began in 2017 when he started taking aerial classes. There, he trained on various apparatuses such as silks, trapeze, straps, and hammock, but it was the aerial hoop that truly captured his heart. Since then, he has specialized in the hoop, being known for his dynamic and fluid moves.
Jonas has performed in numerous events, circus shows, and festivals as a guest artist. His most notable works include starring in the circus-theatre show called Eklipso, and the show AeróticO, which he conceived, produced, and performed in.
As an athlete, he has competed in national and international championships since 2023, at which not only has he represented Brazil as a member of the National Aerial Team, but he has earned Brazil's first-ever gold medal in aerial hoop —becoming the first Brazilian world champion in this discipline.
Since 2024, Jonas has been a judge for the competition Aerialympics, evaluating participants in various disciplines and providing constructive feedback based on his experience as an artist and competitor, with the goal of helping them become better performers.
